Create your own delicious vegan cheese at home using cashews and nutritional yeast. This recipe produces a creamy, flavorful cheese perfect for spreading on crackers or melting over dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw cashews, soaked overnight
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. 1. Drain and rinse the soaked cashews thoroughly.
  2. 2. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until completely smooth and creamy.
  3. 3. Transfer the mixture to cheese molds lined with cheesecloth.
  4. 4. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to firm up.
  5. 5. Unmold and serve with crackers, bread, or fresh vegetables.
